Charles “Bull” Gregory Pearce, 54, of Carterville, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2025, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville with Johnny Outland officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be made to an Education Fund for his children.
Bull was born June 16, 1970, in Carbondale, to George Gregory and Charlotte Sue (Hicks) Pearce. He married Krystal Lynn York on June 24, 1995, in Carterville.
He is survived by his wife, Krystal Pearce; son, Will Pearce; daughter, Isabelle Pearce; parents, George and Charlotte Pearce; sisters, Carri (Ryan) Williams, and Kellie (Andy) Bradbury; plus several nieces and nephews.
Bull worked for the Illinois Department of Corrections, serving as a Lieutenant in Pinckneyville before transferring to Murphysboro.
He had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending time hunting and fishing. He was also an avid and competitive card player.
