Carla Ann (Orr) Allen

Carla Ann Allen, 69, of Carbondale, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Manor Court in Carbondale.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Pastor Jeannie Ellis officiating. Burial will be in Blairsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to the family.

Carla was born on November 26, 1955, in Herrin, to Jessie and Ruth (Douglas) Orr. She married Thomas D. Allen on June 17, 1987, in Sierra Vista, Arizona.

She is survived by her husband, Tom Allen; daughter, Jennifer (Joseph) Waldron; son, Christopher (Christy) Bloodworth; grandchildren, Tory and Katlynn; sister, Evelyn Rorer; mothers-in-law, Barbara Lou (Edward) Reed and Ruth Ann Allen.

Carla was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry, Donald, Larry, and Charles Orr; sister, Marilyn; and father-in-law, Delbert Allen.

 She worked for the Forestry Service in Harrisburg and later at the SIH Cath Lab in Carbondale.

Carla enjoyed making jewelry and spending time scrapbooking.
