Carl Allen Patrick, 62, of Hurst, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
He was born September 27, 1960, in Carbondale, to Virgil Dallas and Gertrude Jane (Freeman) Patrick.
Carl is survived by his nephews, Derrick Patrick and Christopher Alexander; great-niece and great-nephew, Breanna Patrick and Brandon Patrick; and great great-niece and nephew, Weston Blessing and Paige.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sisters, Patricia Walker and Jackie Westbrook.
Carl was a graduate of Carterville High School.
He worked odd jobs over the years. Carl had quite the green thumb and loved gardening.
Carl was a sports fanatic who loved cheering on the Cardinals and could rattle off any statistic if you asked him.
