Carl Eugene Jarvis Jr.

Carl Eugene Jarvis Jr., 50, of Carterville, passed away Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 27, 2021, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Rev. Brad Harlow officiating. Burial will be in Blairsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home.

Carl was born October 16, 1970, in Herrin, to Carl Eugene and Lila Jane (Donaldson) Jarvis. He married Charlene Riggs on June 28, 1989, in Paducah, Kentucky.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene Jarvis of Carterville; children, Kristina (Curtis) Miller of DeSoto and Patrick Jarvis of Clinton, Massachusetts; sisters, Lisa Smith, Carla (Bill) Ren, and Patricia Parker, all of Carterville; brother, Robert (Elainea) Jarvis of Elkville; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Carl was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bruce Lee Jarvis; brother-in-law, Mike Smith; and mother-in-law, Noelle Riggs.
