Carl Kenneth Hillman, 72, of Paducah and formerly of Goreville, passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2020, at Ballad Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 18, 2020, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Pastor Brent Schuetz officiating. Burial with military rites will be held at Egyptian Memorial Gardens in Energy. Visitation will be from noon to 2:00 p.m., Sunday, at the funeral home.

Carl was born January 31, 1948, in Detroit, Michigan, to Kenneth and Alice (Crichton) Hillman. He married Linda Susan Martin on September 13, 1968, in Macomb County, Michigan. Together they have shared 52 wonderful years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Hillman of Paducah; daughter, Carey (Aaron) Brown of Paducah; son, Rick (Terry) Hillman of Minot, North Dakota; grandchildren, Kelsey Morrison, Kolton Morrison and Aaron Hillman; sisters, Ann (Bill) Kemnitzer of Orgeon City, Oregon and Wanda (Jim) Anderson of Troy, Michigan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Beverly Reiter, Robert (Catherine) Martin, and William (Cheryl) Martin.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Tom Hillman; son-in-law, Eric Morrison; in-laws, William Earl (Joanne) Martin; and brother-in-law, Lutz Reiter.
He honorably served our country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War.
Carl was a truck driver, working for Crete Carriers.
He was a man of faith who loved and cherished his family. Carl was known for having immaculate vehicles and also enjoyed spending time outdoors.
