Betty Joyce Kinley, 89, of Herrin, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024, at Parkway Manor in Marion.

Private services were held.

Betty was born June 23, 1934, in Brookport, Illinois, to Harry and Thelma (Clark) Gossage. She married Ed Kinley Jr. on November 1, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 14, 2016.

She is survived by her son, Scott (Jane) Kinley; grandchildren, Melissa (Ryan) Farley, and Nicholas Kinley; great-grandchildren, Lauren Farley, Avery Farley, and Eliotte Kinley; and sister, Norma Jean Colyer.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Harry and Jim Kinley; and sisters, Frieda Kincade, and Carolyn Young.

She was a homemaker who loved taking care of her home and family.

Betty enjoyed sewing, playing BINGO and pinochle, and tending to her flowers and garden.
