Barbara Joan (Chitty) Bathke

Barbara Joan Bathke, 84, of Brookfield, Wisconsin, and formerly of Carterville, passed away December 20, 2019, at Waukesha Memorial Hospital in Waukesha, Wisconsin.  

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Pastor Larry Gilbert officiating. Burial will be at Wolf Creek Cemetery in rural Carbondale. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made Sussex United Methodist Church in Sussex, Wisconsin, or to the American Lung Association.

Barbara was born November 1, 1935, in Sterling, to Jesse and Mildred (Mann) Chitty. She married Albert D. Bathke. He preceded her in death on March 2, 2005.

She is survived by her children, Jeff (Marge) Bathke and Lee Ann (Jim) Lucchesi; grandchildren, Emily (Kevin) Taylor, Megan (Chris) Meuer, Stephanie (Phil) D'Acquisto, and Jessica (Justin) Griffin; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Parker, Theo, and baby Griffin; and several nieces and nephews and many cousins and friends.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
