Albert James Obituary

Albert Lee "Drummonds" James, 75, of Carterville, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2019, at Willowrest Cemetery in Carterville, with Rev. David Milburn officiating.

Lee was born September 18, 1943, in Williamson County, to Albert Jefferson and Ruby (Rushing) James.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, John James of Marion, Ronald (Jane) James of Marion and Ernest (Mary) James of Effingham.

Lee is preceded in death by his parents; half sisters, Alberta Brandon and Genevieve Manning; and half brother, Lester James.

He honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Hundley Nuclear Submarine.
