Wilma Marie Greenlee, 81, of Carterville, passed away Friday, October 19, 2018 at her home with her daughters by her side.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Carterville, with Fathers Mark Reyling and Richard Mohr officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in Christopher. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Wilma was born on August 31, 1937, in West Frankfort, to William Joseph and Manie (Bollero) Bima. She married Kenneth L. Greenlee on November 27, 1959, in Christopher. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1988.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy (Brad) Solomon of Carterville and Nancy Pick of Carterville; son, Paul (Paula) Greenlee of Carterville; daughters-in-law, Stacy and Tana Greenlee, both of Carterville; twin brother, William (Rose) Bima of Papillion, Nebraska; grandchildren, Amanda Todd, Matt Solomon, Ashlee Solomon, Sean (Carol) Greenlee, Lyndsay Greenlee, Sarah (Ben) Craft, Dana Greenlee, Amy (Colin) Zelasko, Adam (Kristin) Greenlee, Kelli (Bruce) Lawrence, and Paul D. Greenlee; and great-grandchildren, Connor, Brantley, Claire, Luke, Kylee, Natalie, Greenlee, Jayden, Cade, Warner, Wesley, and one new addition due in April.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Kenneth and Joseph Greenlee; grandson, Kyle Greenlee; son-in-law, Duane Pick.
She was devout in her faith, as evident by her being a charter member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
Wilma was a special education teacher for more than 27 years at Roxana and Christopher schools; retiring in 1992 from Carterville school.
She was an avid reader and talented cook. Wilma cherished her family and time spent with them, especially the regular family gatherings at her home.
