Vickie was a faithful, loving member of Crainville Baptist Church, who served the church in the roles of Sunday School teacher and Missions Treasurer for many years.
She had a great love for reading as well as a talent for crocheting. Vickie made prayer shawls and hats for children with cancer.
She loved her family, especially her nieces and nephews. Vickie had a birthday tradition where she took her great nieces and nephews out for lunch and shopping. She could also be found in the stands keeping stats and cheering them on at their sporting events.
Vickie was a strong woman who made a very difficult decision and was at peace with the outcome of the decision.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Cheryl and Jessica from Hospice of Southern Illinois for the loving and outstanding care given to Vickie.
