Carterville - Ronald Clayton Williams, 74, of Carterville, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 9, 1943, in Kankakee, Illinois, to Henry Clayton and Ellen Mae (Leach) Williams. Ronald married Cynthia Marie Kluga on January 9, 1993, in Lemont, Illinois and she survives him.

Ronald honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.

He retired after 30 years of service as a welder and machinist for Caterpillar in Joliet.
