Mike Iwaszko Obituary

Mike Iwaszko, 55, of Carbondale and formerly of Carterville, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018, at his home.

He was born on February 25, 1963, in Chicago, to Walter L. and Rosemary (Olejniczak) Iwaszko.

Mike is survived by his father, Walter Iwaszko of Carterville; sister, Susan Burnam of Carterville; nieces, Sarah (Ryan) Towle of Carterville, Abigail (Jordan) Kurt-Mason of Alpine, Wyoming, and Hannah Burnam of St. Petersburg, Florida; great-nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend, Suzanne Frederick of Carbondale.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

Mike was an electrical technician for Corbell Telephone & Electronics (CTE) in Carterville for 25 years.

He was a member of IBEW in West Frankfort.

Mike enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
