Carterville - Martin Lewis Wagner, 47, of Carterville, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Monday, December 4, 2017, at Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion.
A memorial of Martin’s life, hosted by his family, will be held at 3:30 p.m., Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at the Carterville Civic Center at Cannon Park.

Martin was born on November 21, 1970, in Salisbury, Maryland, to Douglas Bruce and Sharon Lee (Martin) Wagner. He married Melinda Rose Taylor on December 4, 2008, in Anna.
He is survived by his wife, Melinda Wagner of Carterville; father, Douglas Wagner of Cambria; his children, Christopher (Katelynn) Wagner of Tunnell Hill, Faith Elizabeth Wagner (Ryan Russell) of Herrin, Piper Brianna Woolard of Marion, Micheal Russell (Brittany Nalley) of Carterville and two more on the way; step children, Travis Forbes of Cambria, Brittney Forbes of Cambria, and Casey Forbes of Cambria; grandchildren, Karter Wagner, Ronald Russell; step grandchildren, Kameron Girtman, Kayden Bush, Benjamin Girtman, Faithianna Schultz; brothers, Sean Christopher Wagner of Johnston City and Nicholas (Melissia) Wagner of Creal Springs; former wife and friend, Stephanie Brock of Carterville and her parents, Russell (Robyn) Taylor of Carterville; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Martin was preceded in death by his mother and son, Zachary Nathaniel Wagner.
He had worked as a cook for Ryan’s and was also a genius mechanic.
