Margaret Louise (Edwards) Samuel

Margaret Louise Samuel, 65, of Carterville, passed away Friday, March 29, 2019, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2019, at Christian Covenant Fellowship in Carterville, with Pastors Jamison Parker and Ralph Brandon. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the church.

Memorial contributions can be made to Agape Christian High School.

Margaret was born on August 20, 1953, in Dallas, Texas, to Harold and LaRuth (Buie) Edwards. She married Robert "Bobby" Jacob Samuel on May 17, 1975, in Dallas, Texas.

She is survived by her husband Bobby Samuel of Carterville; son, Kevin (Laura) Samuel of San Antonio, Texas; brother, Richard (Kathy) Edwards of Plano, Texas; and sister, Marianne (Jim) Montoya of Denton, Texas.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jeremy David Samuel.

She was the office manager at Shawnee Health Alliance for over 13 years.

Margaret was a member of Christian Covenant Fellowship. 

She also enjoyed reading and doing cross stitch. Margaret enjoyed socializing with people and also served as an adoptive grandmother to several children.
