Justin Wade Davis

Carterville - Justin Wade Davis, 42, of Carterville, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018, at his home in Crystal City, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with the Rev. Ralph Brandon officiating. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2018, at the funeral home.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Portageville Cemetery, in Portageville, Missouri.

Memorial contributions may be made to his sons, Austin and Tyler Davis.

Justin was born on May 23, 1975, in Hayti, Missouri, to Virgil Richard and Janie L. (Lawson) Davis.

He is survived by his father, Richard (Judy) Davis of Carterville; brother, Scott Davis of Boston, Massachusetts; sons, Austin and Tyler Davis, both of Benton, Arkansas; nieces, Rebecca Davis and Anne Davis; and a host of friends.  

Justin was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents.

He began his 26 year long career as a deck hand working his way up to fleet manager for Osage Marine Barge Company.

Justin was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

He was also a passionate sports fan cheering for his beloved Cardinals and Blues.
