Juanita Joyce Hart, 75, of Marion, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019, at Heartland Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, May 27, 2019, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Pastor Rick McNeely officiating. Burial will be in Blairsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
Juanita was born October 7, 1943, in Spardale, Illinois, to Gerald and Juanita (Allen) Jenkins. She married John Lewis Hart Jr. in 1962, and he preceded her in death on July 4, 1989. She later married Leonard Cameron and he preceded her in death in 2016.
She is survived by her daughters, Juanita Ann Hart (Paul Serex) of Nashville, Indiana and Alex Johnnita Hart (Jeff Wisely) of Murphysboro; grandchildren, Juanita Hyer and Justine Harrell; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Hyer, Nathanael Hyer and Jessa Peebels; sister, Donna (Carrol) Modglin; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Juanita was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brothers, Jerry Allen Jenkins, Loren Lee Jenkins and Gerald "Buddy" Jenkins; and granddaughter, Johnnita Mae Harrell.
She had dedicated her life to taking care of others through her service as a RN. Juanita worked at Hoffman Estates in Schaumburg as an ICU Nurse then as a same day nurse in Carbondale.
Juanita loved to play cards, especially Cribbage. Her family was the most important part of her life.
