Johna Dean Morris

Johna Dean Morris, 61, of rural Cambria, gained her wings Wednesday, September 11, 2019, surrounded by her family.

A gathering to celebrate her life will be held Monday, September 16, 2019, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Loved ones that will welcome her home are her parents, John and Donna Robinson and her grandson, Lil Eric.

Johna was born October 29, 1957, and grew up in Carterville. She married Dale Morris on April 22, 1977, on the Morris Family Farm, and they enjoyed 42 years together.

She was an avid crafter who enjoyed going junkin' with her kids and grandkids and was never afraid to try a new recipe.

Johna made friends easily and was always the biggest "duck in the puddle" at any gathering. Anyone that came out to "the farm" was always welcome for coffee, dessert and a chat. Johna was the heart of her family, and life at Big Branch will not be the same without her.

Loved ones that will miss her love, life and laughter: husband, Dale Morris; daughters, Peri (Sandra) Morris and Keri (Crystal) Morris; grandchildren, Will (Jessayca) Hardy and Sly (Kristin) Hardy; great-grandchildren, Myah Hardy and one on the way, Baby Bean Hardy; brother, Kenny (Linda) Robinson; two nephews; and many special friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
