Hunter Joseph Freund

Carterville - Hunter Freund, 2 1/2 month old infant son of Summer and Justin Freund, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Herrin Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 30, 2018, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home.   

Memorial contributions can be made to Hunter’s family. 

Hunter was born on November 3, 2017, in Carbondale.

He is survived by his parents, Justin and Summer Freund of Carterville; sister, Shianna and brother, Brantley, both of Carterville; grandparents, Earl and Pam Freund of Murphysboro and Amy Smith of Christopher; great- grandparents, Joseph and Elfrieda Lloyd of Murphysboro, and Darla and Rick Bowman of Metropolis; great  great-grandmother Barbara Michels of Waterloo; many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

Hunter was preceded in death by his grandfather, Eddie Cross and great great-grandfather, Joseph Michels.
