Frank M. Bone, 72, of Carterville, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 18, 2019, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Rev. Ralph Brandon and Pastor Jamison Parker officiating. Burial with military rites will be at Willowrest Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., Thursday.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to Agape Christian High School.
Frank was born August 18, 1946, in Cunningham, Kentucky, to Dellon Eugene and Eadria (Moyers) Bone. He married Vicki Marie Connor on March 1, 1976, in Baraboo, Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki Bone of Carterville; Godchildren, Colby Hasheider and Kelsey Frost; dear friends, Howell Reynolds, John and Kimbra Frost and Clark Mickelson; and his beloved toy Australian Shepherd, Charlee.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents.
He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army as a 2nd Lieutenant.
Frank retired from General Dynamics as a mechanical engineer.
He was a member of Christian Covenant Fellowship Church in Carterville.
Frank was an model enthusiast who also enjoyed watching car racing.
