Florence Tregoning Obituary
Carterville - Florence Geraldine Tregoning, 89, of Cordova, Tennessee, and formerly of Carterville, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Methodist Hospice in Memphis, Tennessee.
Private graveside services were held at Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville. Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville is in charge of arrangements.
Florence was born on October 21, 1928, in Harrisburg, Illinois, to Leslie G. and Allie (Moyers) Hartley. She married John Edward Tregoning on June 21, 1947, in Osceola, Arkansas. He preceded her in death in 1979.
She is survived by her daughters, Tina Busby of Cordova, Tennessee and Janis Palardy of Olive Branch, Mississippi; 3 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Richard and Alden Hartley; sisters, Lois Rice, Freda Fox, Lucille Filgor, and Ruth Starbuck.
She retired as supervisor of the records department at the University of Memphis.
