CARTERVILLE - Eugene Mullins, 79, of Carterville, passed away on Monday, December 4, 2017, at Herrin Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 11, 2017, at Blairsville Cemetery, with Rev. R.H. Chitwood officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Herrin V.F.W and American Legion Post 347 and the Army National Guard Ritual Team.
Eugene was born on September 10, 1938, in Bush, to Frank and Goldie Marie (Harper) Mullins.
He is survived by his sisters, Donna Wemmer (Dennis Graves) of Herrin, and Linda Sue Harper of Colp; along with numerous cousins and extended family.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank and William; sister, Kathleen Inman.
He worked in the maintenance department at Brown Shoe Company then later Tuck Tape for many years.
He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army.
