Daniel Gail Cavitt, 77, of Marion, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018, at Herrin Hospital.

Private services will be held.

Daniel was born on July 6, 1940, in Crainville, to Crystal Gail and Nora Louise (Jackson) Cavitt. He married Annette Johns on March 10, 1962, in Marion. Together they shared 55 wonderful years and she survives.

He is the father to Angela Gail Morris Schoonover (James); grandfather to Kaitlyn Nicole Morris, Hayden Scott Morris and one foster grandson Jefferey Allen Norris; uncle to LaShunda Gail and Mark Wefler and Justin and Ashley Cavitt; brother-in-law to Leigh Annell Ethridge. Daniel is also survived by several aunts and uncles.

Daniel worked for Maytag for 42 years.

He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army.

Daniel attended the First Church of God in Marion for over 42 years.

Memorial contributions may be made to Daniel’s grandchildren for their education.
