Billee Dean (Ozment) Lear

Billee Dean Lear, 85, of Marion, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018, at the Anchor of River to River in Marion, surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 18, 1933, in Pittsburg, Illinois, to James E. and Alice (McDonald) Ozment. She married Lowell D. "Dink" Lear on March 31, 1956, in Marion. Together they have shared 62 wonderful years.

Billee is survived by her husband, Lowell D. "Dink" Lear of Marion; sister, Genevieve McMillan of Decatur; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lillian Norman and Virginia Kofran; brothers, James, Warren and Harold "Pug" Ozment.

She worked as a cook for Marion schools and several of the local hospitals.

Billee was a talented cook who was well known for her bread and pies.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.  

Services will be held at a later date. Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville is assisting the family with arrangements.
