Barry Lee Noakes, 62, of DuQuoin and formerly of Carterville, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019, at the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Riggin-Pillatsch & Burke Funeral Home in Carterville, with Pastor Jeff Wiggs officiating. Burial will be in Willowrest Cemetery in Carterville. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Barry was born April 28, 1956, in Carbondale, to Gary and Christine (Howerton) Noakes. He married Teresa Taylor on November 21, 2012, in Marion.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Noakes of DuQuoin; daughters, Tiffany (Jimmy) Baldi of Marion, Christy (Adam) Williams of Carterville and Emily Noakes of Paris, Illinois; son, Cody (Jennifer) Ellermeyer of Murphysboro; mother, Christine "Mana" Noakes of Carterville; father, Gary (Greta) Noakes of Findlay, Ohio; sisters, Brenda (Dale) Farley of Paducah, Kentucky and Betty Black of Carterville; brothers, Bradley Noakes (Mark Johnson) of Denton, Texas and Bryan (Dianne) Noakes of Thornton, Colorado; grandchildren, Tyler (Lindsay) Baldi, Sheldon Ratchford, Lily Baldi, Zachary Baldi, Wyatt Spurlock, Trenton Lively, Abigail Lively, Corbin Malone, and Harper, Peyton and Kendall Ellermeyer; and a host of friends.
Barry was currently a route salesman for Little Debbie Cakes. He had previously been a route salesman for Wonder Bread and Hostess.
He was a sports enthusiast who liked to cheer on his St. Louis Cardinals and Blues and the Pittsburg Steelers.
Family was most important to Barry.
